Do dental students study in groups or alone??

It just depends on the class and the person.

I found that I was much better off in gross anatomy going into the lab with classmates because I could go through all the parts that we needed to know faster and label stuff with with much more confidence.

Outside of that, I prefer to study alone, except that I often study in a designated study area for dental students so if I or anyone else in the room needs help understanding a topic we can always ask someone else in the room.

Depends on the person.

I don't like studying in groups because I can't control the speed or the topics. Also, you have to be careful because some of your classmates don't know as much as they lead on.

I also like to write my notes out instead of just reading slides/notes or typing them. Something about handwriting them works for me.

For 3.5 years, I've tried to go to class everyday and picked up all the handouts then crammed everything a night before the test (with few liters of coffee). This method has worked quite well for me. 🙂

all nighters before the exam... except for the boards then you might need 2 all nighters j/k...
all nighters worked for me... then in the morning before the exam get in a study group and explain everything to your classmate who have studied for 3 weeks... teaching people helps make things stick my head better b/c you have to explain why. for some reason they don't want to believe that you know more than they do after studying only 1 night
