What is the best option? I am on pins and needles

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If the admissions director told you that the problem was that you didn't explain the W's and that was the only issue then I wouldn't give up on a US school nor go to PA school...assuming being a MD or DO is your passion. Work on your statement this year and have alot of people read it, both friends/family and school counselors if possible. I also would recommend taking postbac classes, either at a senior level undergrad or even at a grad level if you can afford doing so as it may be too late to get into a true BMS/SMP type program at this time. For instance, Wayne State has a Biomedical science masters program. The program staff at WSU suggested that I take some of those classes instead of more undergraduate classes to show that I could do well in their program. I could have taken up to somewhere around 12 credits I think. If you believe that your MCAT is weak you can always take a review course or self study and retake it this year. Persistence and dedication on your part shows character. I am 41 and just starting out the masters to med school process. I'll also apply next June and be around 52 when I'm done all together. 27 is def not too young to get started. You'll have plenty of time left to practice.

Good luck!

Don't worry about your age, it doesn't matter. Just do what you want to do. I think there is a reason that you would need to go to med school in Pakistan. Just take some grad or upper level science classes, explain your W's and reapply. Also, there are some programs that you might still be able to apply to for post baccs. I just VCU's application closed a few days ago, you might still be able to call the program administrator and see if you can apply to it still, that is the one I am starting in August.

At any rate, don't worry about being 25-27, I was always worrying about that also, when I realized that it really doesn't matter, and just looked at the final goal, I became most more comfortable and motivated. It really doesn't matter.
