A physician who graduates from an allopathic medical school receives the degree of M.D. or Doctor of Medicine. A physician who graduates from an osteopathic medical school receives the degree of D.O. or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. While there are slight differences curriculums, both schools train equally "qualified" physicians. The most notable difference between instruction is the coursework in OMM which generally not a subject taught in allopathic medical schools.
I invite you to consult the Web or Google for more specific information on osteopathic versus allopathic medicine and I am closing this thread.
