What is the difference between Primary Care IM and Categorial IM?

categorical is setup for people who are interested in being hospitalist or specialist whereas primary care is setup for people who want to do ambulatory/outpatient type IM. You generally aren't locked into either as a career if you choose one or the other for residency.
