What is the format of the LOR?

Hi guys,
I want to ask for letters of rec soon and I just wanted to know what I should tell my professors. I'm going to have them submit the letters electronically and since that won't be until June, should I just tell them to write the letter now and just email it in in June? Is it just a standard letter of rec or does it also come with those "evaluate by ranking student on the chart thingy". I guess what I'm asking is: when ADEA sends out the email with instructions for the evaluator, what exactly are those instructions?

Also, do all the letters get sent automatically to all the schools? I know some schools require 2 science professors and 1 dentist, while others require only 3 science professors. Loma Linda requires a spiritual leader letter as well. So will there be a way for me to choose which letters I want sent where?

The smartest thing you can do is to invest in interfolio.com

Its an online bank that holds LORs, this is soooo much better than leaving it at the hands of the writers cause sometimes, no matter how nice the person writing you the letter is, they procrastinate... DO NOT WAIT TILL JUNE TO GET THE LOR, get the LORs ASAP, start asking them for it now and give them 1-2 months to write it. every 2-3 weeks visit them on their office hours to see how its going.

As far as what type of LORs, I think 2 biology, 1 non-science, and 1 dentist is the best combination. Unique schools like Loma, well, see if you can send the special LOR directly to them (without AADSAS), I wouldn't use up the allowable 4 LORs that AADSAS gives you on a "spiritual" letter.

You collect them into interfolio... and then you direct interfolio to send them to AADSAS. AADSAS will take up a maximum of 4 LORs

I think (forgot thier prices) but I directed all my 4 LORs in 1 package to AADSAS, cost me $10 I think, it was regular mail, not electronic

Most schools require 3-4 LORs... Generally they are 2 from science professors, 1 non-science, and 1 from a healthcare professional (dentist)

Some schools take this to the extreme and want the 2 science LORs to come from 2 biology-type professors (so chemistry for example is unacceptable)

Calculus is considered a science class when aadsas calculates your GPA, but I don't know how dental schools view it in regards to LORs. Contact the schools ur interested in and see what they say
