What is the general consensus on derm PA's?

I was just wondering how many derms out there employ PA's and if so what do you think? Do you give them autonomy? What do you think is a fair pay rate for them? Any input greatly appreciated. 🙂

Most of the people on this board are not practicing dermatologists, they are pre-meds and med students who can't answer your question.I would suggest a board frequented by those in active practice such as physicians on line. Many dermatologidts hire PAs.Their skill level and pay varies depending on their training and backround.Highly experienced ones have much autonomy depending on state laws and the comfort level of the supervising physician.
