Just wondering because I am interested in Podiatry and want to see what my chances are at getting in...

I was thinking about Barry University to be specific ...

But getting a general idea would be great, medschoolready.com use to post the stats, but I don't know where else to look to find this information.

What are your stats? Barry is one of the easier schools to get accepted to. Their class size is medium range (65-70) and they seem to interview a lot of people.

Anyone think this may change with the new Dean of admissions?

Who's the new dean? And what happened to Mr. Weiner?

The old guy was a lawyer, not sure how much he really knew about medicine/podiatry but who knows.

I'm not really sure to tell you the truth. Just hearsay, I read somewhere on here that they got a new dean, and I just assumed it to be true.

I would say just apply september 1st with your current MCAT, and tell them you plan on taking it again that month/in the near future.

You will likely get an interview. They may give you a "conditional acceptance" and say you have to put a $500 deposit down to reserve your seat with them.

They may just give you a full acceptance as well and tell you to not worry about retaking the MCAT.

The conditional acceptance would likely be becasue of your MCAT. They will likely say get a higher score (maybe a 21?) to get a full acceptance.

The downside to this is... if you for some reason cant for the life of you get a 21 they take your $500.

But honestly I'm just a pre-pod and I havent gone thru the admission process yet... so maybe call the admissions office before taking what I have to say seriously.

Good luck. Maybe we will interview together as I am applying there too...

with your stats it might help if you a family member made a very timely donation to a school

or help Temple officially buy the rights to use the 'Harvard' name
