Hi,

I just received a letter from SUNY Upstate...it says my credentials were reviewed and I am being placed in a "Hold" pile....what does that mean? I haven't interviewed or anything. Thanks for any info. 😱

I think it means that you haven't been rejected but haven't been offered an interview yet. They may offer you an interview at a later date.

Don't hold your breath...

I am on hold at SD right now...and from what I have read about this "pile" (from last years threads in searches) you will prolly not hear from the university again....

But, I am sure many other fine universities will contact you with brighter news 🙂 Just look outside..the sun is shining..the birds are chirping..

It's in your best interest to try to get an interview if SUNY Upstate (which I attend) is one of your top choices. I was put on hold by SUNY Buffalo and Penn State last year but didn't hear from them, so being put on hold before an interview isn't promising. You can try writing a letter to admissions and indicate your intent for wanting to attend SUNY Upstate.
