what is the meaning of letter of good standing

hi
can any one tell me what is the meaning of letter of good standing from the licensing authority, or its equivalent, of the region in which the applicant last practiced.
actually this is the requirement of U Of BRITISH COLUMBIA i dont know what is means and how to get it

Letter of good standing is that back in your country where u practised you did not have any litigation or medico-legal cases or complaints against you. This you will have to get from the licencing authority from back home. For eg, if you are from India the state you have registered with as a dentist you will have to get the letter from there.
