I felt that the personal statement was by far the most challenging and time consuming, and also the most important. I worked on my initial version off and on from January-April, but it sucked so I totally dumped it. I took a break for most of May and then cam back at it hard from the end of May until mid-June. I went through tons of drafts, but I ended up with something I was very happy with.

 Some advice for future applicants, don't underestimate the importance of the activities section. You're a lot better off writing a small "mini-essay" about what you learned, how you developed as a person and/or what skills you developed, than to simply list your activity and "job title." This isn't just personal opinion, I've heard it directly from the moth of more than one admission person.

Nice thread idea, Q! 👍

We should bump up the thread that you posted a long time ago about the work/activities section and how to go about filling it out. That was by far a really helpful post.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that one. Thanks for reminding me what a thoughtful, helpful guy I am!

... I'll see if I can dig it up. 👍

The personal statement was definitely the most difficult, but the coursework section was the most onerous for me. At least the PS required some thought and personal attention.
