What is the research citation style used for most basic science/biomedical research papers?

For example, what sort of citation style is this:

I use APA style for my CV and other citations. APA is basically the style you demonstrate in your two examples and is generally used for science disciplines.

Look up Vancouver style. It's pretty widely used. AMA style is similar.
