I'm still a kid and, according to your MDapps, I'm five years older than you.
I'm a kid! Can I sit at the cool kids table? I'll bring these.

You know you loved them.

i'm hoping for at least like 600 votes

Just gotta say, on table #24...WHO are those BAMFs who managed to get accepted to med school/w <14 MCAT and <3.19 GPA??? Kudos to those good sirs and ladies!!👍

Really tho my congrats to anyone who got in with <14 MCAT...

It is comforting to believe that even if I started down a path of epic failure, I could potentially still get in to med school by SHEER FORCE OF WILL.

and a lot of ass-kissing...and not even the metaphorical sense.

completely skewed cuss of all the freshies/sophs and neurotic SDNers, but interesting nonetheless :meanie:

I did skew them as a freshie...with my hawt 2.9 😛

I really screwed up my first semester 😡

Actually when I first looked at that table all I thought was somebody's daddy has money...

i was thinking sob story that would win some award

Hmmm...URM from Chicago's south side who suffered a gunshot wound as a bystander to gang violence, then suffered and recovered from leukemia, went on to start a charity for gunshot-wound-and-cancer survivors, and was an integral part of the research team that found the leukemia-killing drug?

Exactly what I was thinking.

upwards trends are favorably looked upon 🙂

😀 up it shall go. As long as I ace my classes the next two semesters and retake the two one credits courses that I failed (quite on purpose I might add), it'll skyrocket to a 3.5. I'm just going to let that C class sit there, it only counts for a core so a C is all I need.

Then it will be time to get into the really hard classes...while trying to keep raising the GPA at the same time. :xf:

~whispers to self~ Must stay focused...

You can do it! Think and you can achieve 🙂!!! Stay motivated, stay positive, and most importantly kick butt!

almost 2k views and only 275 votes? come on SDN! 🙂

still bumping btw you never told us your GPA

She's mentioned it in prior threads as a 4.0. This internet poll is the equivalent of hanging outside the class after a test saying "i failed i failed i failed!" and then immediately barking out the correct answer when someone asks what you got.

Ya'll are neurotic and insecure if you need to post your GPA. And all the theatrical consoling of folks with less than stellar GPAs is just another backhanded compliment to yourself.

This reminds me of why I never hung out with pre-meds in college, and why SDN pre-allo is as annoying as it is entertaining.

Some people need consoling and encouragement. You make it sound like it is done out of bad intentions...

👍👍

I certainly need encouragement and it wasn't done out of bad intentions. This thread actually made me feel confident that I can overcome my low GPA.

Creepy how you know my GPA, just saying.

And in terms of insecurity and neuroticism, this poll is completely anonymous.

If you read my posts, I created this thread because I wanted to know how skewed SDN really is in regards to GPA. I know it's not completely 100% accurate because a lot of freshmens have 4.0, but it's the best I could do 👍
