What level physics should I take as a prereq?!?!

Hello all.
I'm registering for fall classes and I have to take 8 credits of physics as prerequisites for schools, but i can't find on their websites whether they take an "introduction to physics" course in which it "surveys general principles of physics. Includes topics such as force, motion, energy, heat, sound, light, electricity, etc... Involves using arithmetic and some simple algebra." I can take these introduction to physics courses or a "general college physics" course. Both of these course are 4 credits, soooo any ideas?

Do you really want to risk taking the wrong course? And if there's any doubt, take the more difficult/higher level course.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I CAN take University physics, but that's 5 credits and I don't think it's required...College Physics it is.

It's probably the simple algebra one, but it would be best to check with the school because some school require calculus based physics.

I am taking the algebra physics, at my school they are physics 231 and 232, and both are 4 credit classes. We covered everything you mentioned in these two classes: force, motion, energy, heat, sound, light, electricity, etc...

Thanks for the advice! Since I'm still completing my list of schools that I want to apply to, I don't know their prerequisites, but I'm taking "College Physics" to be sure, because the introduction to physics course might be for non-science majors or something;.
