What makes a good Anesthesiology resident?

What qualities do PDs look for in applicants other than strong academics?
Hardworking? Good attitude? Easy going?

Thanks for your replies.

Replace the term "easy going" with adaptable. The former implies apathy.

A good anesthesia resident is:

-hard-working and dependable
-a team player
-a self-motivated learner (does not expect to be "spoon fed" by the
attendings)
-adaptable (agree with Vent)-- able to adjust to a schedule change or a
crisis situation
-not a whiner

During residency I used to think about particular residents or attendings I admired. (e.g. which attendings/residents you wanted to be on call with.) My goal was to be that resident--the resident you wanted to be on call with.

according to faculty members, a good anesthesia resident is one who cleans their house and washes their cars on top of the regular qualifications. Who doesn't want a perfect indentured servant? 😀
