I have a BS in Business Admin (Accounting) with a 3.155 overall GPA (upward trend the last two years - I believe my major GPA is 3.5+). Since I graduated in '06, I have worked my way up a law firm food chain which ultimately lead me to go sever off on my own, working as an independent writing legal opinions concerning environmental claims (great money and I make my own hours). I stuck with this route because I was thinking about heading to Law School.
After a lot of self-reflection and self-realization, I came to the conclusion that I wasn't very fond of my job, or the thought of being a lawyer in general, so now I am trying to pursue my real life-time dream of becoming a doctor.
I have been looking into Post-Bac programs, and I am very fond of Scripps because it is near my hometown. I was wondering: what exactly is going to be done in order to make myself competitive? Shadowing doctors? Volunteer overseas? Is my GPA too low? What GRE is competitive to get in? Any and all information is welcome.
If these questions have been answered already, I do apologize. I tried the search but didn't come up with any concrete information concerning my questions.
Thank you in advance for any replies.
