What Medical Schools Know

Do medschools know to how many schools you've applied to. Would they ever find out?

Do medschools know whether you took an mcat prep course?

I've been annoyed by how many interviewers ask me these questions.

I'm sure they can find out if they really want to. They definitely find out if you hold more than one acceptance after May 15th.

How could they find out? I was more asking along the lines would they see it automatically?

AMCAS doesn't send them a list of the schools you've applied to. If you remember right before you clicked to begin the processing of your application there was a statement that said something to the effect that all of your information will be sent to the schools EXCEPT the other schools you've applied to. I'm sure that's a policy to avoid biases in the adcoms b/c of the other schools you've applied to.
