Because minors are not of importance to admissions, you should minor in whatever is most interesting to youHello, I am interested in doing a minor but I am kind of confused which one should I do. So my major is Genetics and I am very interested in doing Neuroscience as PhD and Neurosurgery (MD) - I want to do an MD/PhD. I know that a minor it is not necessary but I want to do it to strengthen more my application with some extra classes. So the minors that I am looking at are microbiology or biophysics. I have taken a micro class already and it did not went that well and it was because also the teacher was kind of bad, so she did not bring my admiration up towards microbiology, however; I have heard that it looks for medical school because you are basically taking more bio classes. Biophysics is the other one and I am looking at this one because I took physics in the country I am from and I got always the higher score. Then I took AP physics here my senior year and got a 2 because I was more focus on my medical assistant classes than any AP I was taking at that time, however; I got an A in the class and I got the higher score since everyone else got a 1. The only aspect that I am kind of insecure is that I have to take Cal 2 and I have heard that is an awful class everywhere. Finally, I have done some research and apparently biophysics can be related to neuroscience. I am asking for an advise and different experience from different students. Thanks
