I'm in my second year of a DIY post-back
prior to this: BS in business cGPA 3.44, sGPA 2.9 (a little unsure as some classes in the business school were weird-- like a stat class was called management policy but the subject was listed as stat). At my UG school I took gen bio, gen chem, calc for business, and tons of stat classes I should also note it was on the quarter system.
Here's what I've got so far in post bacc:
Fall 2014-- 8 credits, 2.74 GPA (I was an idiot for thinking I was ready to leap into physics)
Spring 2015-- 13 credits, 3.68 GPA (got a B+ in physics II, up from C in phys I and got an A in bio and gen chem II)
Fall 2015-- 15 credits, 3.67 GPA (really proud of my A- in O Chem I)
Current sGPA: 3.25
Hopeful sGPA at the end of post-back: 3.54
In addition I also have:
250 hours volunteering in pediatric hospital
80 hours ED volunteering at level 1 trauma center
80 hours shadowing various specialties
Service trip to work at another Children's hospital with post bacc school
8 months of research at my local peds hospital, upcoming publication, planning on keep working here
I need to add more clinical experience too.
Do I stand any chance for a good MD school??
Edit: I will take my MCAT spring 2017
