SO I just got back from the test and this is how badly it went..

Bio - 18
GChem - 19
OC - 16
PAT -16
I have no clue how I got these 16's these are lowest scores on all the practice tests... I was scoring 18-19's on CDP and 18 and 25 on TS 1 and 2 resp for OC...
RC - 19
QR - 18.. .this was hard...I am generally good with MATH..and I had done all 10 MATH destroyer and was scoring between 21-24....
TS - 18
AA - 18

Background: I have a MS in Engineering with a 3.2 GPA and since last year I have been taking the pre req courses for Bio and Chem and my sGPA in those courses is 3.6...I am yet to send in my applications which I was going to do after today... but this scores do you guys think I should send in my application and then retake...will I still have chance to get in next year... I know this question has been asked trillion times on this forum.. but I just had to ask again..

Please advise friends..

While I wish I could have said congrats, I cannot. You will need to prepare a bit more and retake it. Your scores seem to indicate that you knew the material, but might have just freaked out on test day. I really hope that the next time you take it, you do a lot better! What is your gpa? You might still get an interview at some of the private schools, but 2 low scores makes it difficult.

Damz man.... I was rooting for ya! Srry bout the scores. I would suggest a retake, I'm pretty confident that nerves got the best of you. With ur practice scores u def shoulda gotten 20+. I think that u can try to apply this year, but i would def sched a retake cause those scores aren't really competitive.

I think you will need to retake too. I would say maybe you could sneak in their if you had a good PAT score because some schools love PAT, but a 16 is way too low. Retake it sometime soon while this stuff is decently fresh on your brain and just keep studying. Take a week or so off to relax, and then get back at it.

Thanks for the advise guys..I really appreciate it..I think u guys are correct... i was probably subconsciously nervous and that took over me during the test... I will retake and I know I can do better than this..

Sorry to hear about that man. Let me tell you that I really do feel you. I remember sitting in my car literally crying over my first DAT unofficial printout. I would recommend taking a little break and get your head on straight before you hit the books again. Going right back to the books is going to be tough. Don't be hard on yourself. Some people can destroy the DAT the first time--the rest of us need another go around.

I can say the second time I took the test I was 10x more confident and was not afraid anymore. Good luck to you my friend.

Thanks man..I will take sometime off but will not make it too long that I start forgetting things...I want to kill the test time around...

Mine were too.. and the few questions on pattern folding were almost impossible...
