What percent of the applicant pool are made up of SDNers?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

How representative are the average SDNer's on here of the applicant pool? I see a ton of super solid candidates on here. I guess since this is my only reference to other applicants it makes me think that the majority of candidates are scoring very well on the DAT and have high GPAs. Is there somewhere that shows the national average of DAT scores so far? Its going to be tough to get a spot over the majority of posters here.

I kind of wonder that. Figure out how many active users there are in the DAT and Pre-dent forums, and then divide by applicants.

My guess is that we represent less than 5%.

anyway to see the number of applicants of AADSAS

I've heard it quoted a couple times, I thought it was in the 7k range as far as total applicants.

And around 4400 spots, I believe.

Those are just off the top of my head, so don't quote me... but the numbers are available somewhere....

look at slide 16.....they have teh numbers from last year and a prediction for this year (i hope their prediction is wrong)

ugghhh...thats a lot of applicants...but the percentage of accepted is better than I was originally thinking.

yeah, and with those numbers, the percentage of SDN'ers must be very, very small... or at least those that actually post their scores.
