Do you a little bit of the legwork yourself on MSAR. Come back with a preliminary school list and we can help you narrow it down or expand it. No one’s just going to throw 20 schools at you and call it good.

Utilize WedgDawg system

i went to a community college then a state school in mississippi. i am a teen mom, so night school after a day of working
i used msar. reaches: stanford, baylor, duke, yale,
targets: emory, mayo, upitt, utsw, UNC, wake forest, tufts, ut austin,
undershoots: UMMC, mcgovern, chicago stritch, quinnipiac

@Goro makes a lot of lists for people.

If you are URIM, your preliminary list looks fine. Make sure to add schools like Tulane, NYMC, Hofsta, Drexel, Temple, UVM, Jefferson, Einstein (NYC). You could consider Dartmouth and Brown on your reach list. Consider Vandy, as they struggle to successfully recruit URIM female applicants. Apply to both MAYO schools - there are separate applications.

I do not myself understand GW and Georgetown - more than 12K applicants, yet they never seem to interview out of their comfort zone applicants - they seem to be able to figure out who is using them as a safety. You might have the stats they are looking for, without overshooting.

(Baylor will be tough bc it is 75% IS by mandate and I do not think you are not from Texas. Sim issue with UTSW and UT Austin).

U Toledo
U IA
U VM
Pitt
Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Albert Einstein
Rochester
Rush
Rosy Franklin
Wayne State
MCW
NYMC
VCU
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Tufts
Drexel
Creighton
George Washington
Georgetown

Western MI
Seton Hall
Your state school(s).
Nova MD
CUSM IF you're from CA
Kaiser IF you're from CA
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me.

And yes, you need DO schools on the list as a 2x MCAT taker

thanks for the advice. my family is in texas, thats why its my top area.

OK OP - thanks for the Texas heads up. When you gave the state of your UG state school, I assumed that was where you would claim residence. You are correct to choose Texas as your home state, if you meet the qualifications, bc it will give you access to a whole system of great schools. With your list, Goro's list, and my list, you will have a good number of schools from which to whittle down. Hard to say how many schools to apply to - but I would prioritize about 20 schools that seem to be best fit for you (places you would like to live, good schools, on target in terms of stats, etc). Get those first 20 done first, especially if they are rolling. Do not be afraid to take a bit longer with the rest of your applications. I think that people who go into this process thinking they HAVE to get 30 secondaries done can get overwhelmed. It makes more sense to compartmentalize the apps into bins of 10/10/10 etc. YOUR likely top 10 first, then next 10, etc, keeping an eye on whether they are rolling. If you get stuck on an app bc of questions that just stymie you, move on and get some others written and then go back.
