btw, UCLA gets its own category since a bunch of SDNers either have "UCLA" or "bruin" in their screen names.

i think bruins as a whole have more school pride than other schools. we're a special bunch. 🙂

Go bruins. 😀

Go Bruins. no more toledo and NO MORE LAVIN!
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, too many east and west coast categories I think. I think a UChicago/NU/WashU/UMich category would have been good

I agree with bw07

Wolverines have alot of pride too! Go Blue!!!!

What are all these other east coast schools?

I voted Other: Midwest/Central, but I think there should have been a Mountain category too -- after all there is a mountain time zone. ...

Anyway, I'm an ugrad at Univ of Colorado - Colorado Springs, and completely snowed in at the moment! lol Brrrrrr

whoops! sorry about omitting the michigan/illinois grouping as well as the mountain states. 😀 the schools i listed were pretty much the "well known" ones from the top of my head. thus, jhu/duke we grouped together since i know of a few sdners who were from duke/jhu even though they're a couple of states apart. future polls should definitely take geography more into account. i.e. i covered the UC schools but left out their counterparts in the SUNY/CUNY, etc. looks like ucla peeps make up nearly 10% of sdn. 😱

Hey there girl! It's cool to meet someone from Colorado Springs. I grew up there and went to Colorado College. I graduated in 96 and then moved out to seattle. I sure miss the sun during the winter!

Yogi, this is a great thread to while away the time waiting. I'm taking statistics now and have become addicted to any kind of list w/ #'s! At most interviews, though, I'm usually the oldest and feel too old to be talking @ college (almost 8 years ago!). Yikes!

Hey Showeeee--Small world 🙂 And I totally agree about the sun in the winter thing lol. I grew up in Chicago (another place that goes for weeks or months without a peek of sunshine)...but I don't think you'd be missing this week here too much lol....we've got a storm from he&* stalled out against the mtns.....literally every school in the denver metro/colo spgs 1-25 corridor was closed today. UCCS being the last to close at 1:30 lol. I just hope they aren't stupid enough to try and have classes tomorrow....we've got a blizzard warning through tomorrow nite.😛

How do u like Seattle other than the sun thing compared to C.Spgs?

--Jessica, UCCS

I am from a small school that "ya'll probly havna heard ah" in West Virginia. And I am the only one applying allopathic this year - one other guy applied to one osteopathic school. So you guys are the only support I have. 🙂

UC Berkeley represents on SDN....

GOO NORTHERN LIGHTS!!!!!

AND BEARS TOO!!!!!

dude.....big mistake to include uci, ucsd, and usc. only 3 people? that's pretty pathetic. gotta give accolades to ucla for their presence on sdn.

I think a Minnesota category would have been nice too.

Linfield College.

where?

Linfield! You know...in McMinnville, Oregon?

oh f*** it. never mind.

I'm at Sweet Briar college... in the middle of hell-and-gone nowhere (between Lynchburg and Amherst, VA).

hey yeah, there should be an upper-rural-forested north dakota category too for sure. j/k, no offense to dakota people 😉

Linfield - i've been to a dorm there, it was old, with pretty high ceilings and huge triple rooms, they looked really nice. The campus seemed small though.

what's up with this huge "other east college" category?? that's massive land area.. ..anyways, any WELLESLEY WOMEN OUT THERE???

In fact, shout out to any of the SEVEN SISTERS, Smith, Mt. Holyoke, etc..etc..

Nah. I think both Dakotas together could probably get by on just one category. There's mostly just buffalo up there as far as I know anyway. But here in Minnesota, we should really be divided up into separate regions. We need one for Northern, one for Central, and one for the vast and all-encompassing Metro area. Also, we gotta have a whole one just for schools that offer majors in Norwegian. I can think of four just off the top of my head!

Hey Showeeee and Skaterbabe--I'm writing from Denver. I got three feet of snow at my place

It was frickin awesome! Best storm I've seen in my entire life. The blizzard of '82 might be more memorable though, if only because I was at an age when the snow was taller than me back then 😀

I came into work today (Thursday) only to find out we're still closed. Sweet. Two snow days in a row, and I don't get the word on the second one. Oh well, just goes to show my dedication, I guess

Go ahead East Coast...its your birthday!

Also, you should have included the Community Colleges of Podunk County😛
