I am a TX resident and having a hard time deciding what DO schools I should apply to. I have read the Osteopathic CIB but it does not posts the GPA/MCAT statistics for each school.

What schools should I apply to with these stats:
cGPA: 3.52
sGPA: 3.3
GPA last 60 hrs: 3.7
MCAT: 500
3 semesters of research
1 semester being a learning assistant for gen chem
1 semester teaching science lessons to 6th graders
~150 hours volunteer
~60 hours shadowing GI, ENT, and plastic surgeon
3 good LOR: human bio prof, PI/animal behavior prof, and animal humanities prof

So far I know I will be applying to TCOM and UIWSOM because they are in my home state.

Just be aware that TCOM doesn't use grade replacement or go through AACOMAS. Only UIW will use AACOMAS while TCOM will need to be done via TMDSAS.

Also worried because my CARS section is not above a 125. (127/122/125/126)

Should I bother applying to the Texas MD schools if I get a decent MCAT score? Say 508+

That might be a nail in the coffin

to answer your above: 508 puts you around the average for texas medical schools so some fighting chance

I wondering if August 8th MCAT is too late for the DO schools. I know some of their deadlines is next year.
