I'm thinking of enrolling into to a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) program to explore alternative/complimentary healthcare fields but my main goal is definitly allopathic medicine. My AMCAS is already submitted so adcoms won't know about it until secondaries or interviews. I afraid this might hurt my chances, though. Your thoughts?

yo, I think there is a law that says that med schools won't accept anyone if they will not complete their program by the time they graduate. So, if your in 1st year of grad school and it takes you 2yrs, then they can't accept you unless you will have graduated before starting med school.

Safrat is right. Med schools can't steal students away from grad schools.

But I also heard that at some schools, if you get your advisor/director of the program to sign you off, they will consider you.

Really?! Can anyone provide a link or number to call to find out more about this law? What about unclassfied gradutates or folks taking classes for personal enrichment?

It's not a written law, but an unwritten rule that most/all schools follow.
