Would drop pitt bc they have an early interview cycle. Uic has an insane cost of tuition, if you have several iis already would not rec. not sure for the rest but ik rosalind franklin has admitted to not even looking at apps after a certain date (?)

Thank you for all the advice. Would you happen to know if UIC allows OOS students to qualify for in state after a year? Also do you know where that was mentioned/what date they stopped looking at apps?

I don’t think Illinois does, from what I understand you have to live there for a year before for “non-academic reasons” to become a resident for tuition purposes

They are very very strict abt residency requirements because oos tuition is how they fund a lot of things unfortunately:/ you can look it up but from what I remember you have to file independently and reside in illinois for a year before matriculation for non academic reasons. Not sure what the case is for dependents whose parents are registered for illinois.

Also, sorry idk the date for rosalind franklin but I would assume it being before october since this is basically the last month for apps. If it helps I heard rotations there are no bueno lol that’s why I didn’t apply.

I’ve heard northwestern and uchi have earlier cycles but that could just be for high stats ppl? Idk tbh but I also applied to northwestern super late so I say go for it! Idk how many you’ve applied to but the cycle is such a long process, if you can I’d try to feel at peace with how many you’ve submitted so you can get a mental break. You deserve it.

when would you consider it to start being considered late for northwestern and uchi?

Uhmm I don’t wanna say anything definitive bc I’m just an applicant. But it’s late for every school rn pretty much😓 this is right before apps close completely and the bulk of students submit in august or before. If you search “schoolname sdn/reddit” on google you can find more info. At this point submissions are more just for peace of mind imo the ones I’ve submitted in october I hold no hope in gettings iis from. It was just so I wouldn’t regret it.

Thanks for the response, looks like you and averagepremed101 are echoing the same concerns about obtaining IS tuition as an OOS matriculant, so i think i'm gonna steer clear of them from a risk:reward perspective.

I've also heard some similar issues about RFU so maybe i won't apply there as well.

Guess i'll shoot for northwestern for peace of mind! Preciate the perspectives.
