Hi everyone,

I consider my stats to be far far FAR below average, but I decided to at least give myself a chance and apply this year. Here are my stats (please don't laugh):
GPA ~3.3
MCAT (27O): VR 7, PS 9, BS 11
EC: Some volunteering work, several health organizations

My letters of rec should come out to be average to above average, and I've gotten a lot of help with my personal statement.

Anyway, I need to pick out a list of MD schools to apply to, and right now I just have all the Texas schools. I will also be applying to DO schools. As for out of state schools, I want to ask which ones will I have the best chance of grabbing an interview? I want to have at least 10 more schools that are out of state. So if you will please recommend some "easy," less competitive schools to apply to? I know my chances are very slim, so you don't have to make fun of that... 🙁

Meharry, Rosalind Franklin, or Caribbean (get MSAR book- this will help)

PS. Your stats are going to be a little below most schools, but that doesn't mean you are disqualified. Remember they are averages; there are individuals below and above the mean.
