what scope to buy?

PanOptic vs. Standard

anyone have experience with either of these? basically, i'm just wondering if it's worth/necessary to buy the panoptic. thanks and hope this thread helps others too!

I would get the standard. The pan-optic is easier to use, but that is the problem. EVERYWHERE you go, they will have standard scopes. If you dont carry your pan optic everywhere you go, you will have to know how to use a standard. In other words you will have to know how to use a standard regardless of which one you buy.

to clarify, i have to get the standard. is it worth also buying the panoptic? how much use would it get?
 
It depends on what you want to do. Are you going to be a rural family physician, or spend all your time providing care in foreign countries, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, it's a waste of money.
