Hi Everyone,
I wrote another post because I was rejected and got great feedback. I was hoping folks could help me with this question. I graduated 10 years ago with an BA in outdoor studies from a small school in Alaska. GPA was 3.2 and my post Bach classes (taken within 4 years) have been 3.55. My second DAT was AA = 18 & PA = 20 (I just looked at my score and it is a 20. I think I said 19 before). QC = 15, RC= 25, Bio = 13, Orgo = 17, Gen chem = 18. Total science = 16. I'm really good at math. I got an A in Calc. 1 & 2 ten years ago. I did not study for QR because I thought I would breeze through it (boy was I wrong). Also a 13 in bio is beyond horrible. HOWEVER. The last post gave me great info on how to study for BIO. I studied for this DAT for 1 month about 4 hours a day. Only studied Kaplan. This next go round if I bust my tail and put in 7 hours/day for 2 months and get the QC up to 19 and Bio up to 17 (worst case scenario) what score would that give me? Assume I get the same scores in the other sections. What would my total score be and do you think that score would be good enough to get in ANYWHERE if I submit my application on DAY one. Also, I will take Anatomy, Biochem, and histology before I start.
Thanks everyone.
I'm getting really excited about applying again...

I think for your GPA, and considering all of your classes were taken a decade ago, I think to have a good shot you would need 20+ AA and 20+ TS with no section less than 19. Good Luck

Your AA score is just the average of the 5 other scores (don't count PAT) rounded to the nearest whole number.

Thanks for the feedback y'all. I am planning on a Masters in Biomedical Science in Aug. If I retake the DAT and get 20 or 21 with nothing less than 19 on any section, do you think that might be good enough? Should I apply this cycle or skip this one and finish the Masters first? Does it hurt just keep applying over and over (assuming I'm moving forward each time)?

i dont personally know anyone who got at least a 19 on every area.... with good post bac grades (above 3.5) and a 19-20 on aa, ts, and pa you should be golden... i have a friend with a 15 rc that got into like 6 schools... but you really need to get that bio up!
just remember to keep involved with your community and stuff as well... every school weighs various aspects differently.

oh yeah and if you didnt know about it yet, predents.com is a good way of comparing stats.. although it may not be 100% accurate and i really dont think you should compare yourself to others, but its a good way to see waht sort of standards you should set for your goals.

and keep in mind that tehre are still a lot of acceptances to be given this app cycle so predent acceptance stats are probably skewed higher than normal right now.
