Folks,

So a DO wrote my letter of rec already with a resume that was updated at that time she asked for it.

However, I included part-time work at a family business as something to throw on there at that time she wrote the letter. Still had clinical experience but not many hours. Like 100 or so in each experience.

Recently, I have added quite a bit of hours into my clinical experiences (have almost 250+), but decided to take out my work experience at family business because it honestly doesn't seem important to add...? I have many hours there and did address it in one sentence in my personal statement but I don't see how the minimal things I did and the minimal responsibilities I had make my application any better. I feel that I can rely more on my clinical experiences and numerous shadowing now since it more about quality than quantity.

What should I do? Should I go back and re-add the work experience onto my resume or leave it alone without it? I obviously don't know if the DO mentioned my work experience in the letter and if she did, I don't want schools to call me out on it and try to throw me off and possibly insinuate I was lying.

You can take it off the personal statement but keep it as a work experience on the actual AACOMAS application. You'll be fine. Not everything a letter writer states on you need be in the PS as well.

We don't want the DO to regurgitate your CV! WE want an assessment of your interest in osteopathy, and with the field of Medicine.

So quit fussing!

So I guess I'll just leave it off of my app then. thank you two!
However, @Goro , Do you feel it is worth including in the AACOMAS activity section of my application? I did write about one sentence in how I lost interest in work in my PS due to personal issues that ties with the rest of my PS, but I feel that it will be viewed negatively if I talked about it but didn't actually put it in my AACOMAS activities.

Hmmm. Leave it off your resume then if you feel it didn't really add to your app. I doubt the DO directly mentioned it in your letter. But if asked about it in an interview just say that the DO asked about stuff you did outside of medicine. No need to stress. Then again, idk hopefully somebody else can help you a little better.
