I took Calculus 8 years ago, I did receive an "A" in calc I-III. Honestly, I am not sure how much calc I remember at this point. I also took Calc based physics I & II about 7 years ago, I received a C+ in both. Would it be better for me to retake the calc based physics or just take trig based physics instead? I am scared I do not remember enough calculus to succeed. The first time I attempted physics, I did not try as hard as I should have and take complete responsibility for not obtaining a higher mark.

Algebra based physics is certainly acceptable for the MCAT and for most medical schools. However if you are contemplating DO school and are thinking about grade replacement, then the algebra based physics will not replace the C+ for the calc based physics. You may want to consider doing a self study online "course" such Khan Academy, relearn Calc, and then take calc based.
Thank you for the reply.
