I was wondering whether I should get my AMCAS done asap and submit it and then submit my MCAT score later or just wait until I get my MCAT score (which comes out in like 3 weeks) and then submit it? I really don't know how I did on my MCAT and there is a good chance I scored lower than a 30

I was thinking if I did badly I'll take an extra year before submitting and retake the MCAT

28/29 sadly 🙁 but I was improving. verbal I was scoring 9-10s during spring break but stopped doing passages so I was doing a lot worse when I started up in the summer.

This is where it is tough. You will probably only get that score on the real thing. This limits you a lot.

I would pick one school, probably a state school, and give it a shot. However, if you don't get in, you will be at a disadvantage the following cycle. So, if you think you can improve it may be better to hold off.

Okay I may hold off. But say everything else looks good in my application (solid GPA ~3.73, good volunteering and research and good recs) but say I get a 28 ish. Assuming I'm done with my AMCAS by the time I get the score back (July 20th) will that be too late? Should I apply anyways since I don't have a weakness in the other parts of my app?

Like BABSstudent said, I would recommend you apply to 1-2 schools (preferably State schools) and get your app and transcript in especially considering it can take over a month to get verified. If your mcat does end up being on the lower side, you don't want to be applying too late as that will further lower your chances.
