I need some honest advice after making some bad career decisions. I went to a top undergrad and graduated with a near 4.0 and then I got a 31 on the MCAT. I decided to matriculate in an offshore medical school and had to leave after a year and a 1/2 after breaking my leg since then I have been withdrawn, what are my career options now?

I was doing well in all my classes & I am confident that in the future I could do really well on the step exams but I am not sure what my options are now after having been withdrawn from a medical school after a year and 1/2. I have currently been out of medical school for 9 months recovering. What are my career options and what should I do?

Will the offshore school take you back? Why did you withdraw and not take a loa? From what I have read it is hard but possible to start over at a do school, but it will look bad when you apply for residency. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on the topic can share about do application chances. Did you leave in good standing?

With those stats, there is no reason why the OP shouldn't have gotten into a U.S. medical school. Regardless, this is a question best directed first to the withdrawing school itself. I'm not sure why it's even being asked here.

(In other words, I'm personally considering this troll-bait until proven otherwise.)

Not a troll, I just made some bad decisions. The school withdrew me after my leave of absence.

Apply to a US medical school and start over. Or if you insist on offshore schools, try to transfer to a school that will take your credits and have a good track record in matching.

What would I have to do to increase my chances of getting accepted into a US considering that I already matriculated into a medical school?

use the search tab in the right upper corner( for that specific question), then come back to this thread.
We don't intend to be mean or unhelpful, but you need to understand our skepticism...
