i studied pretty hard for the nb part 1 but somehow, and i dont get how i did so bad but i got an 81. i dont plan on specializing so i wanted to know if i should take them again to get into a residedency of my choice? please let me know what you think

I have heard this a lot lately (irl). How did your score compare to the average for the test you took? The scores for the comp. versions do appear to be lower than when the test wasn't on the comp. The DS4 class above me was the last class to take the written version and they said 86 was the average on those tests. There are several rumors out about the scores being adjusted after they get a sufficient numbers to really calibrate them... but to be honest that is just a rumor. It hasn't happened yet to my knowledge. (but heh, I don't know everything 🙂 )
