Hey everyone I go to Cal Poly Pomona and I'm about to enter my senior year. I'm currently taking biochem which I'll be done with on the 29th. This leaves me 3 full weeks before school starts. Is that enough time to prepare for the OATs? I'm thinking about buying the destroyer or kaplan. Or should I invest on taking classes?
Also, I hardly have any ECs. I volunteered at a hospital the summer of first year and didn't do anything other than that. I had no idea what I wanted to be till a couple months ago. Now I'm going to start volunteering next week and start shadowing two different doctors this saturday. Hopefully I can raise my GPA to 3.6 by the end of this year but my main concern here is do I need to take a year off to do more ECs?

EC are always nice, but from reading older threads some people got in without them. Your GPA is really good so if your OAT score is up there too, you should be fine. 3-weeks of nothing but intense reviewing and practice could be do-able if you're really focused. Just remember, you have to wait 90 days before being able to retake the OAT. 🙂

Sounds good should the destroyer be enough study material?

It really just depends on you and how well you remember the material from all the subjects. There are lots of way of studying (ie. Kaplan, Destroyer, Achiever, etc etc). Everyone is different. Not helpful I know, Sorry.
