You should void if:

a) you didn't finish a section with 10+ questions remaining
b) you blindly guessed 1/2 the test
c) you were ill during the test
d) you didn't study

Anything else is a waste of your money/time. Just re-take it if you're unhappy.

On the verbal section, I guessed blindly on 5 questions and guessed whimsically (meaning I wasn't sure what I was doing, but I had a hunch) on half the section.

Yet I still hit "score my test."

Do you think this was a good idea?

I thought it was at the time, but in the case I do horrible in the VR section, opinions would be appreciated for future references.

Lol....well since you scored your test this is kind of a moot point.

But for future reference...many people claim to guess on a difficult passage (4-6 questions) but guessing "whimsically" on half the section seems like a bit much. Practice tests should really be what guides your decision. If you are always unsure but still come out ok...score it. If you normally rock VR and feel like you have NO clue on test day...then still only consider voiding. If there is the slightest hint you may have done decent I'd score it.

the thing with VR is that I never know (but I know I should know) if I have the correct answer.

The other sections were good, so I thought that should have sufficed since VR was only one section...

but now looking back.. I think it may have been a horrible decision... I've got a feeling I'll get like a 5 on the VR or something... wouldn't be the first... I got 5 in the AAMC3 for the VR section.... ugh............................................................:scared:

So lets say you are certain you got at least 20 questions right. All you need is 5 more questions or so to get an 8. So I would keep it assuming you think you got at least a 10 on your sciences.
