More concerned about orgo... My orgo as a second language book came today and I'm going to start reading it tonight. My professor also sent out an e-mail today with the syllabus and another attachment of things he thought we should know from general chem by next week:

Waves, Atomic Orbitals, Quantum Numbers
Electronic Configurations
Lewis Structures, Properties of Covalent Bonds
Bonding, Molecular Structure
Bronsted Acids and Bases
Lewis Acids and Bases
Reaction Rates
Effects on Reaction Rates, Activation Energy
Enthalpy (Heat)
Entropy and Free Energy

In addition to these topics what else should I practice before the class begins?

Also, is there anything I should worry about with physics? I really never considered physics hard because it was easy for me in high school but maybe I'm underestimating the class and I should give it a good amount of attention as well.

Oh and sorry I realize this orgo topic probably gets old but I didn't see anything in a quick search.

Electronic configurations, Lewis structures and bonding should be enough in my opinion....
I wonder why you ask this question here though...!?

Thanks. Sorry should I have posted in the audiology and speech pathology forum?

Know how many beers you want to drink tonight. Seriously, relax. You'll have plenty of time to learn everything you need to know.

As for physics, it doesn't change unless you're moving up to calc based from algebra, but even then the difference isn't so much. If it was easy before, it will be easy now.

Thanks. Sorry should I have posted in the audiology and speech pathology forum?

Well, at least there it would be the first time they would've had a thread like this.

relax bro... you'll have plenty of time to learn everything once the class actually begins

No...Its not exactly a question that one would expect on the pre allo forum...its more of a college forum question...the ones that address the "what should I dos"...

Anyway...about physics...You're saying that you didn't find physics hard in high school. That's a good sign...and you don't have to worry about it...the MCAT asks basic 100-200 level college physics...nothing to sweat too much about
