I need to take gen chem II, A&P I, and micro this spring. I also wanted to take cell bio, but its not being offered and there really aren't any other relevant upper level science classes for me to take. So, my question is should I take astronomy for an easy A to increase my science, BCP gpa? Taking astronomy would increase my science GPA from a 2.894 to a 2.916 and increase my BCP GPA from a 3.365 to a 3.386. Would that be worth it? Or, should I just realize that getting A's in all the upper-level science courses was the best I could do. If I don't take astronomy I will probably take spanish or 3-D art in its place. I'm already planning on taking a business course and english comp. My overall GPA will hopefully be around 3.08 when I get done this spring. What do you guys think, miniscule GPA increase vs. sculpture/3-D design...what will help more?

The difference between a 2.894 and a 2.916 isn't that worthwhile, I suggest that you take golf, racquetball, or sailing....those were all great classes.

i highly recommend an entry level psychology course, it is easy AND you can really learn a lot. it is applicable to almost everything in everyday life. i also feel that dental schools would look favorably on psychology since this is a people profession. in fact, i know that a few schools actually require one psy course as part of their pre-requisites for getting in.

I would totally take the 3-D art course. You've got a dual advantage in that it's probably going to be a stress-reliever and also a wonderful preparation for dental school lab work. 👍

Thanks guys...I've already taken gen psych, so I guess I'm leaning towards the art class, which does sound like a lot of fun.
