I was wondering what you thought(or know) that caught the admissions committee's attention on your apps. I am mainly concerned about the "Leadership" section. I don't think I have anything to put in that section. Also, "volunteering" and "pharm experience" suggestions would also be helpful. I know Pharm schools want well-rounded and smart individuals... but what will working at a pizza place 20hrs/week to support my wife and me during undergrad give me when the admissions committee looks at my app? Thanks in advance for all of your replies.

Edit: Now that I think about it I was Class Rep for my German Club in HS. So much for "Leadership,"

it's all depend on your perspective. You don't have to stand in front of a class and lead a meeting to be called a leader. There are many ways where you can apply leadership skill: ever mentored a kid? have a little cousin that look up to you? a group project from school where you contributed some amazing ideas? etc.. .. My point is..leadership doesnt necessarily attach to the title of president, e-board, etc..

Do you and your wife have children? If you are married, you must be a little older and have some real life experiences behind you. I think that's what helped me....but I'm much older. There are some leadership and commitment qualities just in being married, for sure!!

Leadership is definitely an important quality that the admission committes look for. If you dont have any titles to put for, you can always list situations and experiences in your essay that actually helped you develop this quality.

I stood out because I WASN'T a pharm tech. I had research experience in a physology lab. Also, I was a double major history/biology.
