A lot of people post threads asking people who got interviews when their applications were complete at those schools. I don't understand why though, because that has no bearing on when anyone else will get an interview. You could have completed your application in August, but not get an interview until February, right? I guess it might make some people feel a little better, but other than that, answering that question provides no useful information. Just a thought. 😕

It _might_ have some bearing, but you never know if and when. A school might be really good about keeping a week's worth of complete apps together through the review process. They may get delayed on a few. Or they may not give a hoot about when you got the app in.

It's basically a way we try to gauge our chances at a school. Are most people who were complete around the same time as me already hearing about interviews? If so, why haven't I? What else can I freakishly obsess about that might explain my odiousness to the admissions people?

I agree that it's pretty useless, and mostly just a way to try and assign some logic and structure to a process that instills doubt. I'm guilty of the same freakish obsessions, so don't think I'm bashing anyone 😛

You don't seem to be too nice. Relax and take a breath. Judging from some of your posts, you're always making an active effort to put people down. Not cool at all!
