I thought the thread, " what time do you wake up ?" was pretty interesting.
I guess this lends itself to the follow up when do you get home?
go to sleep?
how much sleep?

I think the variety between specialties and within programs is pretty interesting.

Depends...its 915 pm and I'm getting ready to go home, but still have to eat dinner, possibly go to the gym and will probably turn out the lights around 11 pm, getting up around 415 am.

Of course, tomorrow is my LAST DAY of residency, so I can do without sleep for awhile!! 😀

Anywhere between 11-1. I usually get up around 4.

KC - you don't finish at the end of the month?

The best kind! 😉

A Breast diseases and surgery fellow who gets lots of sleep (no in house call, no weekends unless someone we operate on ends up staying overnight from Friday).

Heck, I'm already the last Chief still here!! Everyone else left earlier this week. 😡

Technically, we are supposed to use 1 week of vacation for the last week of June and leave then. Traditionally, the Chiefs have left after the graduation which was early this year (last Saturday).

Our 4th years move up tomorrow so I felt obligated to stay until then when the service would have a new Chief (the fellow can get them up to speed). Besides, I was too scared to tell the Chief of Vascular I was leaving early!!

so it seems that, at best, you have home/free time from 9 to 11.
when do you guys do your reading?
