what time for registration?

ok so now i was able to login and find a seat and i clicked on reserve seat - and right now i'm stalling at the annoying waiting page....so I guess I just have to wait it out.

i was very impatient and clicked on "Register" again (although that might have meant I go to back of the line) and after few minutes, the login page came up...so if you want, you can give that a try.

yeah i've definitely done the login-waitpage-login cycle... probably clicked login like 30 times now... i've also done the whole internet explorer new browser technique but not working either...

Alas....this horrible waiting BITES!! I've been waiting to log in for 2 1/2 hours.. What's the deal? I'm gonna scream if it sends me back to wait once I actually get to log in. Best wishes everyone!!

I reopened my screen - and I was able to register in like less than 5 minutes. DONT KEEP YOUR SCREEN OPEN AND WAIT. Retry it and it worked within 10 minutes for me. Good luck all.

****update: since someone brought the guy more donuts, AAMC's lead tech has now awaken from his nap and turned on the servers.

Here's what I found worked to help me get a seat: shut down pc, re-boot, take rest room break, re-try log in.

Let's just hope no one makes more coffee for the guy to spill and cause us to loose our reservations 😱

retry meaning wait for the MCAT CBT login page to come up? (and congrats on being done with this ridiculous process!!)

oh my god i'm getting sooooooo frustrated!! i've reopened the page twice. i guess i'll give it a couple more mins than try the reboot process. been at this for almost four and a half hours now and i've about had it, lol.

I just registered. Started at like 8:20 and at about 9:15 it went to the login screen. After that it was smooth.

BUT! The Jan 26 test is listed as 12pm!! I know all the other materials say it is an 8am test. Did they forget to change it here? If someone is calling them now, ask this as well.

I finally managed to register. I was playing with it last night and got the waiting page. I tried it this morning before class and still the same thing. I came home from school at about 9:30 and have been playing with it. About 30 minutes ago, I just left the screen running while I was studying for a class and it uploaded to the login page, and I was finally able to register (YAY!). I sat on the waiting page for about 15 minutes before it let me log in then it went smoothly from there.

good to know that i'm not alone as it seems like everyone else we've been suffering through this with has been getting through (not that i hope you don't get through soon or anything. in fact i hope we both get through like right now!! :meanie: )

I haven't been able to get through either...I've been on the website on and off since midnight last night.......where are you guys trying to register where it does not work?

no kidding man... this is complete BS... ppl that aren't nearly waiting as long as we have are in.... and we still sitting here... i got firefox open with 2 tabs and 2 internet explorers all trying to register.... but still nothing............

i'm in nor cal. waited through the whole thing last night from about nine to midnight. got through but the system wasn't up yet. got up this morning at five and have been trying unsuccessfully since then. i rebooted my computer at about 9:30 so i'm hoping that works! how bout you?

i got in once but i couldnt even pick the test date (like last night) so the aamc girl told me to log out and try again (she said there was nothing else she could suggest 😡)...

ever since then i'm still waiting...

sry to hear about your issue too.... is the log in still giving you probs?

Still no luck. I rebooted and the same crap.

Since AAMC deals with this EVERY FREAKIN SINGLE TIME they should have a solution available....or give us all our mcats for free.

That's too bad but at least you got in! Yes- I just keep logging in and going to the waiting page at least 50 times now. I hope all of our registrations work out SOON.

seriously! i mean i understand that this is a new system and all, but did they not even do a test run. cause honestly i don't know what's worse: the fact that they didn't even bother to do a test run or that they did a test run and found this to be acceptable.

Finally registered.
I was able to login a few times and get through some steps like finding a date and finding a seat and even reserving a seat but this time it took me to the end.

I think it's rather random - sometimes it may work all the way through and sometimes not.

If you clicked on reserve seat and had a pop-up screen saying that it will be reserved for 20 min, and then come to a wait page - and you are stuck there for more than 20 min, try from the beginning again.

This is so messed up. But as more ppl get to register and get out of the site, hopefully it will lighten the traffic and it will get easier for others to get through. With that said - people if you have registered, just log off and go do something else.

hey browneyes? are you using internet explorer or firefox? cuz with my firefox, i logged in 3 times and it throws me back to the wait screen...now i also feel your pain :S

btw, i'm on a desktop

YESSS!!! i finally registered.... i strongly suggest you guys use internet explorer rather than firefox... firefox was the only one giving me the bunk login pages

btw, i opened more than one IE cuz ppl were suggesting that we refresh it...i didnt want to so i just opened another one...

FINALLY!!!! Ok, i finally got through and registered. Just for anyone who is curious I rebooted my computer at 9:30am (pacific standard time) and got through about 35 mins later. I used firefox and had only one window open with the barbershop pole going.

Anyway, it's been fun venting with all you guys! Good luck with getting in and good luck on test day!! 🙂

There is a lot more stress in this thread than in any score release thread I've ever seen. Well, except for the 9/7 and 9/8 release threads where some people didn't get their scores until like 3 days later. :meanie:

I GOT INNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Thank goodness. My heart was pumping like crazy because I was afraid the website would crap out on me... but IE worked better I think? Or maybe I just got lucky... anyway, best of luck to everyone still trying to get a seat!

I turned off everything and completely rebooted the computer. About 35 mins later i got through. Prior to that i had waited about 2 hours and not gotten through at all.

i've been on the first barbershop page since 9 am. so i am pretty frustrated that people who logged in at 930 have already registered. this sucks.

after what seems forever i finally got my spotttt yayyyyyyy:banana:i closed the windows on firefox and used internet explorer after 25 min it finally let me in😀 hope everyone gets a spot
