This year AMCAS's verification process is moving slower than usual, and understandably, that’s making a lot of applicants anxious.
But let’s be clear: hoping verification moves faster is not a strategy. Prewriting secondaries is.
Here’s the reality that admissions committees know well:
1. They don’t care when you’re verified.
2. They care when you submit your secondaries.
3. They care how good those secondaries are.
If you’re getting verified in July, you NEED to submit all secondaries before August 1st.
If you’re getting verified in August, you NEED to submit them within days, not weeks.
That delay led to late reception, late submission, and failed cycles
