Hey everyone =)

I wanted to get anyone's opinion on what I should do regarding my work experience. Basically I have worked at my aunt's family medical practice for the last 5 years, and have used the money I earn to pay for books, food, and other expenses - since my family pays for my tuition, I wanted to help them out to show them my appreciation. Now here's the complicated part....Since I am working for family, and she understands how tough it can be as a college student, all of my payments have been cash the entire time. So, I'm not technically on her payroll nor listed as an official employee. Should I list this as a job or volunteer experience? I'm on the fence about listing it as volunteering since it is medical and I am pre-dental - which the admins could ask "WTF, why are you volunteering in another field??" I also don't want any repercussions for my family member if admins call to check up on the job or check any documents. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! Good luck with your apps everyone!

If you got paid, it's not volunteering.
But I think you can still put it under work experience without saying it's owned by Aunt.

Thanks for the reply. Anybody else have any input on this situation? 😳

I agree, I would put it under work experience since you were paid for the work you did.
