What to do after getting accepted?

Classes start in August, and until then, I basically am not doing anything. What are you supposed to do after you get accepted? I'm working part time, but other than that I'm not really doing anything. I'm actually quite bored. I wake up at like 11am, waste time on the computer, go to work in the afternoon for 3 hrs, then come home and waste more time.

What did you guys do after you got accepted and were just waiting for school to start? What would you do if you got accepted and had nothing to do until school starts?

Because ZOMGZORS once med school starts its all over. You wont have a life outside the library or ANYTHING.

Jk I had more free time in med school than in all the years since I graduated undergrad. It aint that bad.

Srsly go travel or something. Try something new. Get some homebrewing equipment and brew some beer! Thats my fave thing to do when I am bored. Or you could get a pistol and learn how to shoot...thats my other fave thing to do when im bored!

I have been reading, playing video games, working, etc. I bought a nice telescope, redid the baseboards in my house, i want to restain my deck, setup a home office.

In short, not a damn of value in regards to med school. Except filling out those forms.

I've been catching up on TV shows, packing up my apartment, and running. Not to mention video games in all the time in between.

My job is paying me double time for ALL hours that I work, so I've been working a lot and saving to buy a new camera (Canon 5D MkIII). I've also been sleeping a lot. 12 hours last night, to be exact. I go to the gym an hour a day for working out and cardio. It's gonna be a good summer.

I read DO schools dont accept turtle lovers bc they only treat one part of the turtle and dont treat the turtle holistically. is this true? I promise i searched first and couldnt find anything.

I don't see why not, but you'll have to go through the hassle of having to ask the school to send out the transcript.

I think he was implying that he wasn't going to play by the rules and resend transcripts, in which case I would suggest still having them sent in late. Better to be safe than sorry.

Youd be very surprised... Your earlier brews are typically better because you are using a grain extract for a sugar source instead of mashing grains. Once you get more advanced and you start mashing your own grains a lot more variables get thrown into the mix and its a lot more complicated. My beer tasted like ish for a while while i was learning to mash.

Brewing with extract is cooking at best. Any numbskull could do it.
