Hi everyone, I am a Canadian citizen who has studied dentistry at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I am graduating in June 2012 and want to go back and live in Canada (most likely Quebec). I am planning on taking NDEB in May 2013. I was wondering if it is possible to work in any of the Canadian dental schools or become a chair side assistant until I get my license. I can't afford not to do anything for a year and I really want to be in Canada with my fiance. Appreciate any help or suggestion.

not sure about working in dental school. but you can be an assistant. you have to write a written exam and give a clinical exam which includes 9 skills.
when you pass those, you can work as RDA2.
information is available on the website: ndaeb.ca, under international applicants.

good luck

Are you sure your school is accredited? I thought only US and Australian schools are accredited and eligible to sit the board exams.
