Out of school for 10+ yrs. Re-applying after 6+ yrs. Currently in the business community. Any ideas or insight on who to get letters of recommendations from?

Thanks in advance.

1) If you are applying this cycle, you have to ask your old science teachers for LOR. Having LOR from science teachers is a requirement for an application to be considered complete. Without science prof/instructor LORs (who taught you) you will have a difficult time with schools considering your application.

2) If you are not applying this cycle (but for 2012), take some additional science classes and ask those teachers for LORs for the 2012 cycle.

A warning for applying this cycle: make sure your science classes/credits are still considered valid to the schools you are applying to. My school's pre-requisite (and upper level) science course credits expire after 5 years. Your pre-requisite science courses are usually not considered obsolete if you continued taking science classes or worked in a research lab/pertinent setting.

Contact your schools of interest to confirm this! It is very important to do so!
