What to do for PAT prep?

Hi everyone,

So I took the DAT last june, and did OK on the Academic part, but blew the PAT (got a 15), and now that I haven't gotten in anywhere🙁, I need to re-take the DAT so I can inrpove my PAT. I got the Destroyer, but I really need something for PAT. Does anyone know what is good and where to get it???? I would really appreciate any feedback!!!

There is no resource that I have seen that is really great for the PAT section, but probably the best guide for the PAT is Barron's. The book isn't that great for the rest of the DAT, but for the PAT section it is pretty good. My other suggestion is to get the kaplan blue book and just do the practice problems over and over again. Yes, the kaplan PAT problems are much easier than the real questions on the exam, but doing any practice problems will help you to get used to the basic format of the questions and will help you to establish a strategy for solving these types of questions.

i just found a really good book for pat. it's cliffnotes book on dat it's a new book you can get it on their website or you can buy it on half.com

for the same reason i have to retake the dat.

Never heard of the cliffnotes review book, how well does it go over the other sections, compared to the Kaplan bluebook.

Get DAT achiever. comes with 3-D explanations. google it.

I have now ordered the destroyer, topscore, and achiever . . .we'll see where that gets me . . .

I'm going to look into the cliffnotes. Do they really help, even though they're in book format? I had trouble at the actual test because the test center computers were about 100 years old, and killed my eyes . . .
