I am a senior with a 2.93 cGPA right now. I am taking the DATS this winter. I really don't think I'll get into dental school and would like to improve my gpa. I may apply to dental schools with high acceptance rates but would also like to know of a strategy for a post-bacc.

might want to take a look at the post-bacc forum on sdn. There are a lot of good post-bacc programs out there that can boost that GPA to make you more competitive. The post-bacc forum may be able to help you more. Good luck!

I looked, but they all seem targeted toward prospective medical students. I was looking for advice from some dental students.

Ok, lemme try that again.😉

I took a formal post-bacc and am a pre-dental student. I was taking classes with mostly pre-med and some other pre-health students, including dental. I'd focus on the DAT right now and your remaining classes - and possibly take a look at those informal post-bacc programs, where you'd basically be taking additional science electives (such as anatomy, physio, micro, biochem, histo, immunology etc 😛) to boost your GPA. It depends on what classes you've already taken, and where you're located as well.

If you got additional questions, PM me or someone on SDN who knows about your program of interest. 🙂
