What to do if I am invited to interview but residency program is not responding?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

The situation: I was invited to an interview in early October, I accepted but accidentally responded to the noreply address in ERAS instead of the residency coordinator. I realized the mistake a week later and emailed the correct address but did not get a response, I waited several days and emailed her again to no response. I then called her number and left a voicemail to no response.

What should I do at this point? Did I respond too late and they ran out of interview slots? I am still interested in the program but I don't know what the proper etiquette in this situation should be. Should I email the PD? Wait?

Sorry if this seems a little ridiculous, thanks ahead of time if anyone can help with their thoughts.

You may have accidentally burned a bridge. But you won't harm anything by being persistent and sincere.

Keep calling. This is a very busy time of year for the program coordinators. They invited you because they really do want to meet with you. I did the same thing as you did for a fellowship interview this year, and the coordinator actually politely e-mailed ME to see why they hadn't received a response in over a week and we worked out a date pretty quickly. I seriously doubt that you have burned a bridge at this point 🙂
