So I've been wondering, I'm currently on 5 waitlists but haven't been accepted anywhere yet.

I currently have a 3.7 and 38Q mcat and I don't really know what to do in my time off. My extracurriculars and letters were decent. Obviously I won't retake the mcat, but I'm thinking that my gpa is alright as well and I should just continue my extracurricular activities instead of trying to raise the gpa.

The vast majority of my interviews occured after Jan so I plan to apply sooner (ie june) instead of late like last time, but is there anything else I should do in the meantime? I'm really hating this process.

Any chance you'd give us a list of which schools you applied to? One of the most common mistakes is thinking your numbers are good enough that only applying to some "upper tier" schools will be sufficient.

I agree. where did you apply and get interviews at?

Your school list most likely plays a big factor. I too am a re-applicant with good numbers, so I know from first-hand experience: I broadened my school list, and I got 7 interviews from places I hadn't even applied to the first round.

get more medical exposure. research. work as an EMT. taking upper level science courses to boost your gpa would be my choice because you can do research while there. or you could travel and adopt kids like Angelina Jolie. whatever floats your boat.

Evaluate your school list. You most likely applied to too many top tiered schools. Also, APPLY EARLY. Interviewing after Jan will most definitely hurt your chances. Otherwise, enjoy your year off. 🙂
